About Us

The town of Bristol, located on the scenic Pemaquid Peninsula, is approximately 60 miles north of Portland. Bristol is made up of five charming villages: Bristol Mills, Round Pond, Chamberlain, New Harbor and Pemaquid. Within these villages, the Bristol Parks and Recreation Department manages eight town owned properties for the enjoyment of residents and visitors: Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park (on the 2003 Maine quarter), Pemaquid Beach Park, The Rock Schoolhouse, Moxie Cove Landing, Bristol Dam Swimming Area, Catherine B. Hanna Landing,
Pemaquid Falls Mill and Ellingwood Park Information Center.Please come explore our beautiful parks! The landscaped grounds and gardens are well maintained and our friendly staff will be happy to assist you with any questions!
